Former #2 rider in the world, Solomon Henschel, has chosen not to renew his contract with Hoosier State Cycling after a year with the team.
"It has been a pleasure to work with Clarence Beagle and help get this team off the ground," Henschel said. "While the results have not always been what I wanted, I appreciate the opportunity to serve as a mentor for some very talented young riders."
"Solomon has been a terrific addition to our squad," responded Beagle. "We fully support his decision to take some time off and consider his future in the sport. When he is ready to finally call an end to a fantastic career, we'd love to have him back as a coach."
"Solomon has been a great mentor for me and my teammates," HSC captain Van Landry agreed. "There's nothing like learning from the best."
Champion of the Perm and Essex Tours in Season 10, the 39-year-old Henschel has finished on the podium 55 times in his career. His victory in last year's Bolzano SP broke Hoosier State Cycling out of Division 10 and remains the team's only win.
